Although we are located in Wales, we can give you no more information than that, simply because we have none. Ποβ Γωελδ Θλυγαδ has the ability to fly, as all good schools do and, as such, rests above Wales itself, hovering above the cloud cover. Pob Gweld is made of many interconnected rooms, each shaped like a cube and each able to move around on its own. The Headmaster has overarching control over these rooms but each student gets their own which they are able to take home with them, as the rooms have the ability to shrink down to fit in your pocket.
Like all good wizarding schools, we have houses but, unlike most, we don't sort until 3rd year and our houses can have a stronger effect on your education. Because, you see, Pob Gweld offers each of its student a familiar, uniquely formed from a combination of animals, based on your house and school life. For example, members of Πρυφεδ, the insect house, are more likely to get dragonfly wings than eagle wings but we never rule anything out. Every combination is possible, it just depends on you.
Houses are divided by species group and are each represented by a very special creature. Each house also has house colours, which can be used to decorate students rooms. The house are written below (with pronunciation, genus, mascot, and colours):
- Υμλυσγιαιαδ (Ymlusgiawid—Reptile—Dragon—Green/red)
- Πυσγοδ (Pysgod—Fish—Kraken—Turquoise/Orange)
- Αδερυν (Aderyn—Bird—Thunderbird—Gold/Silver)
- Μαμαλιαιδ (Mamaliaid—Mammal—Unicorn—Pearl/Purple)
- Πρυφεδ (Pryfed—Insect—Acromantula—Black/White)
- Αμφφιβιαδ (Amffibiad—Amphibian—Poison Dart Frog—Rainbow)
We teach all the best subjects at Pob Gweld, both magical and muggle. Along with the subjects you commonly see a Hogwarts or Beauxbatons, we will also be teaching Welsh, Greek (both mandatory in first year), muggle/wizard studies (depending on the world you grew up in), maths, English, foreign languages (magical and muggle), magical home ec, magical engineering, magical geography and sex Ed (lgbt+ inclusive).
Our school includes various death traps including seemingly bottomless rooms (actually rooms of a finite but arbitrarily large depth) and a non-Euclidean room where pupils shall serve detentions.
Three headed dogs are not allowed, in fact all dogs within the school must have an even number of heads.
Our school crest is a cube that magically rotates, each side decorated with one of six house animals, with an eye underneath.
Thank you and always remember our school motto: Λιλι Υν Ειχ Γωυλιο- Lili Yn Eich Gwylio- Lily is watching you.
